Silent Suffering

He pulled his car into the parking lot and shifted it into park.  He looked around the small, quaint restaurant before exiting the vehicle to see if he noticed the familiar gray coupe.  No, it wasn’t in that corner.  He turned to look in the other part of the lot.  Nope, not there either.  That was weird, she had texted him and said she was only a couple of minutes away.  Just as that thought crossed his mind, the two-door sports car rolled past his car and parked a couple of spaces away.

He quickly looked away before she could notice him.  Out of the corner of his eye, he could see her get out of her car and begin to walk toward the entrance.  She looked as good as ever.  Her jeans cupped her body; the tank top she was wearing revealed just enough skin to make a man wonder what was underneath.  To top it off, her heels made a slight sound on the pavement that seemed to whisper the word sexy with every step.  He watched her walk all the way into the restaurant.  What a show it was.  After she disappeared behind the front door, he took a deep breath and stepped out into the parking lot.

Fast Cars to Toolbars

History lessons aren't always good
Toolbars will leave u drunk in a bar
Previous calls will cause progress to be stalled
Accidental clicks will make her clock tick
Its a battle of good and evil
And which side one will choose
Who's who and what's what
Her story is skewered by the sewer she inhales
Oxygen, hydrogen, aqua, WE fail
Deep inside, his story is open
While hers is linear,
Their hope for heartbreak
Is left to a cellular
Search, a temporary internet file
A wall post, a newly discovered profile
On a site meant to be tucked away,
Damn is history here to save the day
Or slave her astray?

Me vs. The Internet

"I’d like to welcome you to the new age, an age where the world is at the beckon call of your fingertips."

Welcome to the internet age. I realize that yes I’m only a few years late writing about this but I was feeling nostalgic one day about how excited I used to get as a kid to go to the music store whenever an album from a band I liked came out, and how because of the internet I’ll probably never get to re-live that sort of excitement (also due in part to the fact that new music is horrible… Lady Gaga or Katy Perry anyone?). It then got me thinking about how other aspects of my life and everybody else’s has changed because of it and well, that’s my excuse for writing about it now. This isn’t going to be so much of an ‘one side or another’ piece like my monogamy and marriage blogs, but just more of an observation of this new internet age we live in.
